East Hampshire Liberal Democrat members voted for their parliamentary candidate last week and chose Richard Robinson.
Richard grew up in Hampshire and has lived in the constituency for over 20 years, just outside Petersfield. He is chartered accountant with 25 years’ experience working in the UK and overseas and has been active in his local community of Buriton.
Richard said ‘I am delighted to be representing the Liberal Democrats in the forthcoming General Election campaign. We will be campaigning for a stronger economy, a fairer society with opportunities for all in East Hampshire to achieve their potential. For this to happen good health and education services are vital. I will be proud to campaign on our record in government and for our commitment to improve mental health services. Locally, the Liberal Democrats will campaign to improve facilities for residents and protect our environment’.
