On 7 May we will decide who will represent the voters of East Hampshire in Parliament and what sort of country we want to live in.
East Hampshire faces challenges which mirror those across much of the UK. We need high quality healthcare and education, sustainable housing, good infrastructure public services and employment. We also have a particular responsibility to protect our beautiful natural environment and support our rural economy.
East Hampshire needs a local MP who understands and puts local concerns first. I grew up in the Meon Valley. Moving to East Hampshire over twenty years ago. I know our schools, hospitals and local services. Our local communities and our countryside have shaped my outlook and values. Working overseas, has given me a wider perspective, including the importance of the European Union to UK business.
I am a Liberal Democrat because I believe in a fair, tolerant society that cares for and offers opportunities for all. I am proud to represent a party that has helped steer the country through difficult times whilst promoting our values; raising the personal income tax threshold, introducing free school meals and reversing the neglect of mental health.
If you believe in a prosperous future built on a high skill, low carbon economy, please vote on 7 May for me and our committed Lib Dem local council candidates.
We promise to work for you.
