Every vote counts - Richard's call to voters

On 7th May we'll be voting for the future of the country and for the local councils that take decisions affecting our daily lives here in East Hampshire.

Over the past weeks I and our Lib Dem local council candidates have met many of you and listened to your concerns.

We know that you care about sustainable development and affordable housing, about the economy and the environment, and about education from cradle to college.

We know too that East Hampshire people care deeply about those most in need of help - the poor, the homeless, the mentally ill.

You care too about the UK's place in the world - our relationship with the EU, our Armed Forces and the development assistance we provide for the world's poorest countries.

In other words many of you, like me, believe in a Stronger Economy, a Fairer Society and Opportunity for Everyone.

So I urge you to head for your local polling station on 7th May to support me and our excellent Liberal Democrat council candidates.  We are local people like you who care about our communities and our environment.  We want to keep our values at the heart of Government and to see truly representative local councils taking balanced decisions that serve your interests.

Please vote for us, Liberal Democrats - working for you, on 7th May.

Best wishes,
