I am originally from Shropshire and trained as an Electronics Engineer. I moved to Horndean in 1984 and worked at Astrium (previously called Marconi) in Hilsea until my retirement.
I was a parish councillor here in Horndean for 12 years (1999 to 2011) serving as chairman in 2008. I was on several committees covering Finance, Open Spaces, Property and Staff.
I have been retired since 2011 and am in the Waterlooville U3A where my interests are painting, playing the ukulele and local history. I also enjoy walking in the countryside and astronomy - I am a member of the Hampshire Astronomy Group. As a member of the Horndean Parish Twinning Association, my wife and I visit our French friends each year.
On the district council I want to see greater accountability and more decisions made locally.
